Spring Market & Kite Festival
Join us for our Annual Spring Market & Kite Festival out here in McDade, Texas — just down the road from Elgin and Manor. It’s a full day of local shopping, good food, live music, and plenty of space for the kids (and kids at heart) to fly kites.
We’ll be out here Saturday, April 18th, from 10 AM to 6 PM, with local creators and artists set up across the property, yard games, ponies, photo opportunity with a Highland cow, and wide open countryside views. It’s an easygoing day to wander, shop, and enjoy some fresh air.
Our restaurant will be open 11 AM to 6 PM, serving up the New Mexico flavors you know and love, along with craft beer and award-winning wine.
In the afternoon, stick around for live music with Spicy Loops from 4 to 7 PM. Based out of Austin, they’ve been playing across Texas and the Southwest since 2015. Their live shows are something a little different — they build songs in real time using looping pedals, layering sounds into a full, rich set that’s easy to settle into and enjoy. It’s the kind of music that pairs perfectly with a drink in hand and a Hill Country sunset.
You can expect:
Free admission and free parking
Local artisans and handmade goods
Family-friendly atmosphere
Food, beer, and wine are available all day
Yard games and space to spread out
Ponies for the kids
Leashed pets welcome
It’s a good excuse to get out of town for a bit, support local folks, and spend the day outside. Bring a kite, bring some friends, and come hang out with us.
